During this tour, you will explore the reserve and spend all morning walking its trails and looking for birds. The tour lasts 3 to 4 hours depending on the resistance of the group.

This will allow you to ask as many questions as you wish and to model the tour to your own interests.

It is recommended to start the tour at 7:30 A.M. Go with your family, in a group, or on your own, you will have a trained naturalist guide guiding the way.

Delve into the cloud forests area of Monteverde on a guided bird-watching tour from Monteverde or Santa Elena. Explore the reserve and see rare birds, like the resplendent quetzal and the keel-billed toucan. Be picked up from your hotel in Monteverde or Santa Elena and arrive at the Reserve. With an elevation of 1,440 meters (4,724 feet) above sea level, the park attracts a diverse range of tropical bird species.</p><p>

Follow your guide through this lush forest and observe a variety of birds with 400 native species. Maybe see the beautiful quetzal, a bird that migrates to the lower parts of the reserve during the breeding season, and identify some species of hummingbird.

At the end of your bird-watching experience, be returned back to your accommodation in Monteverde and Santa Elena.
