Trails cut through the dense humid tropical rainforest, allowing you to observe a startling variety of wildlife species. Approximately 2 hours for the observation and learning of the Flora and Fauna of the Tortuguero National Park, plus all the details of the Park's natural history and its surroundings, explained by a naturalist as your guide (National park entrance fee is not included).
Once under the forest’s canopy, in this tour you will learn about how nature works, and to get a real feel of our tropical humid rainforest. Covering 29,000 hectares. Tortuguero is one of the most important nesting sites of Chelonia Midas, the green sea turtle. Where its forests and waterways are home for such endangered mammals such as sloths, monkeys, agoutis, coatimundis and manatees. There are also abundant birds, such as toucans, trogons, egrets, herons and aninghas, as well as crocodiles, turtles and countless colorful butterflies, including blue morpho. We will also point out and explain the various species of plant and animal life, truly bringing the forest to life.
