Unique Caño Negro Day Tour

Many visit the Caño Negro Wetlands, one of the most important wetlands and natural refuges in Costa Rica. This vast territory of wetlands, lagoons, rivers, and creeks constitutes an important habitat for birds, reptiles, fish, and mammals. 

Faro Travel gives you the unique chance to visit the best part of the Caño Negro Wetlands, a secret spot where most of the animals inhabit and also the part where nature is lusher, virgin, and impressive.

Unique Caño Negro is one of the most amazing trips for incredible bird watching (in the dry season) and wildlife in Costa Rica. Our tour leaves La Fortuna at 7:30 a.m. On the way to Caño Negro you will have the opportunity to learn about agricultural plantations that Costa Rica raises such as yuca, papaya, pineapple, sugar cane, and orange.

 Then we will arrive at a restaurant, where we will enjoy a welcome drink & snack, after that, we will start the trip by boat on Rio Frio (cold) river. 

On our 2 and a half hours of journey, we will see Egrets, Herons, Monkeys, Caimans, Iguanas, bats, and a variety of flora. A delicious Costa Rican typical meal will be waiting for us, back at the Restaurant.
