From Costa Rica: Nicaragua Full Day | Shared Group Experience

This journey begins early in the morning to avoid lines while crossing the border. Be advised, that all tour participants need to have both their passport and flight itinerary. Once across, you’ll enjoy a delicious breakfast near the city of Rivas.

You will visit Catarina Viewpoint (Mirador de Catarina), where you’ll have time to savor views of Lake Apoyo (Laguna de Apoyo), Lake Nicaragua (Lago de Nicaragua), and Mombacho Volcano.

You’ll continue until you reach Granada, one of the first cities founded by Europeans in America. A colorful, vibrant place, Granada was built with Spanish colonial architecture that remains in place today. In Granada, a horse-drawn carriage will take you to the city’s most notable attractions. You’ll visit the main church, known simply as “Catedral”, and the Plaza de España, where you can take in magnificent views of Lake Nicaragua. Nearby, you’ll have lunch at a nice restaurant with great views. An included boat ride on Lake Nicaragua features a stop at wildlife-filled Monkey Island and is timed to catch beautiful light on the lake’s hundreds of islands.

After lunch, you will board the bus and drive to a viewpoint of Lake Masaya. This exceptional location allows you to take in stunning views of both the lake and the active Masaya Volcano. The tour wraps up with a visit to Masaya, a local town with an excellent pottery and souvenir market.

• Requirements: Passport name, number, expiry, and country are required at the time of booking for all participants. Please bring your passport on the day of your tour. Send a photo of your passport. Your departure Ticket that proof of flight out of Costa Rica.
  
• It is prohibited to enter the country of Nicaragua with the following items: all kinds of Drones, all kinds of Binoculars, including those for Night vision, and any object considered for professional, journalistic, and similar audiovisual reproduction.
• This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.
